Logic Gates from TransistorsTransistors can be used as automatic fast switches. They respond to changes in voltage. When the base-emitter has a high enough voltage across it, the collector-emitter resistance of the transistor goes low, the collector voltage with respect to ground may then be less than a volt and can be used as a logic 0 in the TTL logic family. The circuits below show how gates are made from transistors.
