Year Council To meet half-termly (apart from summer term) during normal Assembly time. Each Year Council to have Head of Year in attendance. Each Year Council to elect two representatives who will act as Chairperson and Secretary and sit on the full School Council. Their role is to:
Class representatives should present their items at the Year Council with good reasons for their consideration to be taken forward to the full School Council. The Year Council should decide which issues should be taken forward to be included on the full School Council (usually two). Any issues involving those Year groups present may be resolved by the Year Council. Full School Council To meet half-termly (except summer term when one meeting) during lunch-time. Chairperson - Head Girl Vice Chair - Deputy Head Girl Secretary - Deputy Head Girl (Deputy Head in attendance). Year Council Representatives should present the issues they have included on the agenda for consideration. Each issue should be debated and possible solutions discussed. (These may include suggestions as to the use of the School Fund). Those issues felt to be a priority should be taken forward to the Leadership Team by the Deputy Head. The Head Girl reports on outcomes to the school in Assembly.
