It rotates on its own axis. The half that faces the Sun has daytime and the half that is facing away from the Sun has night-time.

(c) Like Earth, Mars has summers and winters. Suggest why there are seasons on Mars.

If it has seasons then it must mean that its axis is tilted. When its axis points towards the Sun it will be summer and when it points away from the Sun it is winter time.
