Answer

The atomic mass of an atom in grammes is a mole of the substance.

A mole containes the Avagadro Number of particles.

so, 238 g of uranium contains NA particles = 6.02 x 1023

238 / (6.02 x 1023) g of uranium contains only 1 particle

therefore 238 x 1014 / (6.02 x 1023) g of uranium contains 1014 particles

(which is 100,000,000,000,000 particles!)

= 3.95 x 10-8g of uranium (39.5 ng of Uranium)

Just think what a tiny dust particle that would be…

yet it would contain 1014 uranium atoms!
